# Connect ChatGPT

> Use Bouncy in ChatGPT through developer mode

ChatGPT connects to Bouncy through **developer mode**, which lets you add an app by its URL.

## What you need

* A paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu).
* ChatGPT on the web at [chatgpt.com](https://chatgpt.com). Set the connection up in a web browser.
* A Bouncy account on the Growth plan or above.

  On ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu, a workspace admin may need to allow developer mode or custom connectors in the workspace settings before members can add Bouncy.

## Connect Bouncy

<Steps>
  <Step title="Turn on developer mode">
    In ChatGPT, open **Settings**, then **Apps & Connectors**, then **Advanced settings**, and switch on **Developer mode**. Menu names can differ slightly between ChatGPT versions.

  <Step title="Create the Bouncy app">
    Back in **Apps & Connectors**, click **Create** and fill in:

    * **Name:** `Bouncy`
    * **Description:** `Create and manage Bouncy deeplinks, stats, groups, domains and websites.`
    * **MCP server URL:** `https://mcp.bouncy.ai/mcp`
    * **Authentication:** OAuth

    Confirm that you trust the app, then click **Create**.

  <Step title="Sign in and approve">
    ChatGPT opens the Bouncy approval page. Log in if asked, check that the page names **ChatGPT** with a **Verified** badge, pick an access level (**Full Access** is the default, **Viewer** is read only) and click **Approve**.

  <Step title="Use it in a chat">
    Start a new chat, open the **+** menu, choose **Developer mode** and select **Bouncy**. Then ask, for example:

    > Create a deeplink for onlyfans.com/amy on tapmy.social with the slug amy and turn on the 18+ warning.

## ChatGPT asks before changing anything

ChatGPT shows a confirmation before it runs any Bouncy tool that creates, changes or deletes something, such as creating a deeplink, changing its destination or deleting it. Read-only tools, like stats, run without asking.

Check the details in the confirmation (the deeplink, the destination, the domain) before you approve it. Deleting a deeplink is permanent.

## Disconnect

To stop ChatGPT using your Bouncy account, revoke the connection on the [Connections page](https://app.bouncy.ai/connections) in Bouncy. You can also delete the Bouncy app in ChatGPT under **Settings**, then **Apps & Connectors**. Revoking in Bouncy is the step that actually cuts off access.

## Troubleshooting

* **"Couldn't connect" or no sign-in page:** check the URL is exactly `https://mcp.bouncy.ai/mcp` and that **OAuth** is selected.
* **The approval page asks you to upgrade:** AI connections need the Growth plan or above.
* **Bouncy is missing from the chat:** turn on developer mode for the chat from the **+** menu and select Bouncy.
